INFORMATION

The Southern California Bikefest is today one of the largest and most successful motorcycle festivals in Southern California.

With its origins in the 2003 celebration of Harley-Davidson’s 100th anniversary, the Bikefest hosted the 30th Anniversary tour of George Thorogood & the Destroyers in 2004 and introduced the exceedingly popular Harley Dealer Swap Meet and Vendor Village.  Last year, 38 Special, the Marshall Tucker Band, and Lee Rocker provided the musical backdrop for a motorcycle special event that critics called “really awesome,” “fantastic,” and “an incredibly good time.”

Now in its fourth year, the 2007 Southern California Bikefest will set new records for attendance, trade show vendors, and customer satisfaction.

SUSAN G. KOMEN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION - Los Angeles Affiliate

For 25 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs.

Working through a network of U.S. and international Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, the Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was founded on a promise made between two sisters – Susan Goodman Komen and Nancy Goodman Brinker. Suzy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1978, a time when little was known about the disease and it was rarely discussed in public.  Before she died at the age of 36, Suzy asked her sister to do everything possible to bring an end to breast cancer.  Nancy kept her promise by establishing the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in 1982 in Suzy’s memory.

A portion of all Southern California Bikefest proceeds and 100% of all opportunity ticket revenue will benefit the Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen to provide cancer services exclusively in Southern California.
